Action Learning and Science

Actiom Learning, founded by Reg Revans in the 1930s argued that learning was a combination of progrmamed learning (P Learning) and questioning Learning (Q Learning). This marked an early attempt in the West to approach the themes of Personal Knowledge and Tacit Knowledge. The traditions of Pragmatism and Behaviorim argued that a man is what he does. Action Learning and science was a step away from Educatrion to Learning. In proposing that one takes Action in light of a Situation, it was ultimately a reaction type approach, in the manner of providing a Response to a Stimulus another dimension of Dyadic thought. It also was a step on the way to models of Action and Learning by Doing, Project Based Learning and Product Based Learning.
